Welcome to the website for Palmetto State Systema and thank you for visiting. Palmetto State Systema is a martial arts school dedicated to learning and practicing the Russian martial art of Systema (The System) as taught by Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev. The local instructor is Mark Jakabcsin, who is a certified instructor under Mr. Vasiliev. The training occurs at the home of Mark Jakabcsin in the town of Fort Mill, SC at various times, Monday nights (6:30-8pm) at the Ultimate Gym, 430 East 36th Street (access from 35th Street), Charlotte, NC, and the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Park Road Park in Charlotte, NC.

Class size varies depending on day of the week and time. The day classes tend to be smaller, the evening classes are larger with a greater energy. The cost of classes is only $10/class with no contracts. The best way to learn if Systema is for you is to train a few classes and give it a try.
